Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected crossover event that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also introduces the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma."
